Greek Dinner

February 11, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Greek Supper To Benefit “Carry Me Home” Saturday, February 115 – 8 pm

“Carry Me Home” is co-presenting a Greek Supper with the St. Michael’s Outreach Ministry on Saturday, February 11, from 5-8 p.m. in the Undercroft. “Carry Me Home” is a Brattleboro-based, non-profit organization run 100% by volunteers. Its primary mission is to support children fleeing zones of conflict. They collect, sort, package, and ship weather-appropriate gently used children’s clothing and footwear. Since September of 2015, they have shipped over 8,000 lbs of relief aid to help refugees currently stranded in Greece.

The menu for the dinner includes: Greek salad, Avgolemono soup, Pita and hummus, Spanakopita, Pastitsio, Fasolakia and Kourambiethes. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $7 for children (3-11 years), with a maximum price of $30 for families of four or more people. All proceeds from our Greek Supper will be used to continue the mission of “Carry Me Home” and to ship more sorely needed items to the people who need them.

Volunteers to help with setup, serving, and cleanup are needed and greatly appreciated. Please contact Jeanette Landin at 802-289-3836 or via email at renplus2002@yahoo.com to volunteer. We hope you can join us for a wonderful meal and to show your support for the important refugee relief efforts of “Carry Me Home.”
