St. Michael’s Episcopal Church

A Christ-Centered Community of Practice awakening to the abiding presence of God

National

by s-mike October 10, 2012
  • For several years after the hurricanes, Katrina in New Orleans and Sandy in the Northeast, groups of parishioners traveled on work trips once or
twice a year to help rebuild homes. Funding was provided by travelers and with special fundraising activities.Parishioners were active in the Irene recovery in Vermont.
  •  Outreach provided funding to create two new examination rooms at the St. Thomas Community Health Center in New Orleans. The clinic is led by parishioners Dr. Don Erwin and Dr. Mary Abell to help people still suffering from the aftermath of Katrina. Contact Brian Morgan at 387-2543.
